A current registration may qualify for a partial refund after the cancellation fee.
Where the car ends up
Nothing is dumped. Usable panels, engines, gearboxes and electronics are pulled for reuse, fluids and batteries are drained and handled separately, and the remaining shell is processed for scrap steel.
